Fall 2024 Bocce Season Information
Fall 2024 Bocce Season Planning and Survey Schedule
The 2024 Fall Bocce Season will start the week of October 7 and end November 22 for a 7-week season. We will skip Thanksgiving week and have the playoffs and championship on December 4-6, 2024.
Playing Time Survey
Each team’s Captain and the Alternate Captain will receive a survey on September 3rd to complete by September 10th to indicate your team's three preferred playing times from those offered.
In the Fall Season, ONLY the following playing times will be available:

Monday: 10AM and 4 PM

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 10 AM, 2 PM and 4 PM

Friday: 4 PM
These times were selected based on previous years’ schedules.
Alternate Captains are to fill out the Sept. 3rd survey ONLY if the team's Captain is not available.
Captains and Alternate Captains will be notified of the time the Bocce Club placed your team sometime the week prior to the season starting.
NOTE: Days/Times will be allocated based on when a team's survey IS RECEIVED. All survey responses will be time stamped.
If a Captain or Alternate Captain doesn't complete a survey, your team's playing time will be selected by the Bocce Board from any open slots left after all survey requests have been handled.
We will make every attempt, but cannot guarantee, to provide teams with their first choice, but this will be dependent on:
(1) if slots are still open for your 1st choice when your survey is received; and
(2) if at least 8 teams are playing in the slot you want.
Also, we will attempt, but cannot guarantee, that a team that did not get their first choice in the 2024 Winter Season will get their first choice in the 2024 Fall Season.
Do not email your preferred times to anyone on the Bocce Board, only those times in your survey response will be used to make the time selections.
Rules
At this time, there will be no changes in the current Bocce League Rules that are posted on the website. If the Bocce Board decides to make any changes, these will be communicated to captains prior to the Captains meeting.
Captains Meeting
The Captains Meeting will take place on SEPTEMBER 24 from 1PM-3PM in the Tewa Ballroom at the Kiva Club. Captains and Alternate Captains should plan to attend. If one of the leaders can't attend, a team representative should be there.
Captain Training
A training session for team captains will be scheduled 1-2 times prior to the season for new captains and those who want to refresh their knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of a team Captain.
Judging Training
Each team is to have its Captain, Alternate Captain or another person attend or view the Judge Training program. This will be scheduled and announced. Also, a video of the session put on the website for viewing.
New Players and Rosters
Teams can have up to 12 players. If you have new people who have not played on any team in 2024, they are to pay and drop off a $10 check for 2024 dues to Bocce Club Treasurer Mark Whisler, 13049 Running Deer Trail, Peoria, AZ 85383, prior to the person playing. If payment is not made for an individual, the person cannot be placed on your roster.
Please note: Only permanent residents and renters can be on a team. Non-residents are not eligible to be members of a Trilogy Chartered Club.
Rosters are to be completed after the Captains meeting, not now.
